Today is "Evaluate Your Life Day." So, tell us: how do you think you're life's going so far?
I was going to say "Oh, just fuck off, Vox", but then I realised that I know the difference between 'you're' and 'your'. That's got to be worth something, isn't it?
What superpower would you most like to have?
It's a tough choice, but I think I'd have to say Russia.
Wait, hasn't this one been done before?
What question do you hate being asked?
The first runner-up in my Most Hated Questions is: Do you have twins? No. I have a double stroller. Which would suggest to an intelligent person that I have two children. Why a double stroller should suggest twins is beyond me - especially when the children sitting in it differ in age by more than two years, in height by about a foot, and in weight by about 20lbs. But I get asked if they are twins about three times a day - by people who clearly couldn't be bothered to look at them first.
But my number one most hated question of all time is: Is that new? You know when you wear an item of clothing out in public, and someone you know hasn't seen it before, so instead of thinking "Oh, Kate's wearing something I haven't seen before", they say "Is that new??", in a sort of 'oh my god, are you actually wearing something new' tone of voice which suggests to you and everyone around you that your wardrobe is so small, so dull and so revolting that any new addition to it stands out by a mile, and even the barest of acquaintances would notice and be surprised if you'd actually gone out and bought something new instead of just wearing the same old retreads again, and again, and again. Thanks for asking! Knob-head.
I love being asked the QotD, obviously. It makes me feel important.
In honor of Presidents' Day, tell us: Who was your favorite U.S. President and why?
In honour of Presidents' Day, I decided instead to share with you a selection of answers from other Vox users to this esteemed question, courtesy of Vox's handy "View Answers" function:
In honor of Presidents' Day, tell us: Who was your favorite U.S. President and why? Holy cow, I sure don't know.
In honor of Presidents' Day, tell us: Who was your favorite U.S. President and why? Maybe- Ronald Reagan- because he put his hand on the Berlin Wall and said it must come down- forget the exact words.
In honor of Presidents' Day, tell us: Who was your favorite U.S. President and why? I'm Canadian, but I guess from what I've heard the best President was Reagen?
In honor of Presidents' Day, tell us: Who was your favorite U.S. President and why? I dont really have one.
Holy cow indeed!
I'm not sure how many ex-20sixers remember him, but Beachhutman has apparently passed away suddenly in China.
I don't know any more details than those given in the comments section of his last post.
I never met Beachhutman - George Edwards - but like everyone else whose blog I have been reading since 2003, I feel like I knew him well. Perhaps especially so with George, and if you ever read his blog in the past, you'll know why I say that. I am more upset at his death than I probably should be - he had recently turned his life around, and seemed so happy in his new homes in Spain and China, and it seems so unfair. It was far, far too soon.
If anyone has an address for his daughter, I would appreciate you passing it on to me so we can send our condolences.
What part of your personality do you wish not to pass on to your child?
My obsession with how my children are going to turn out.
Would you rather be rich or famous? Why?
Submitted by Chris Vaughn.
When I first read this I thought it said "Would you rather be rich or thin?" and I was going to say thin of course, but then I remembered that if you're rich you can pay someone to make you thin, or maybe you can pay someone to be thin for you, or something like that, so rich would be better. And then when you were rich and maybe thin too you'd just be famous automatically, wouldn't you, because isn't everyone famous these days anyway no matter what? I know I certainly am. So to answer this question, I think I'd rather be smart.
Today is Blog Action Day! Take action by posting about the environment in your own way.

"Blog Action Day"? What wit decided to put the words "blog" and "action" into the same phrase? No doubt legions of Vox-ers are right now thinking "That's it - I'm going to really do something about the environment! I'm going to blog about it! Maybe I'll get myself a sassy bumper sticker as well!".
What is, or used to be, your SSB (secret single behavior)?
Submitted by Dee.
I'll never tell. However, I am going to get the chance to indulge in it again, as tomorrow I'm flying to London to visit my oldest and dearest, while Himself is staying here and taking the week off work to look after Baby E so that I may do it without let or hindrance.
I'm jammy, me.
